Hotel Development Conversions / Adaptive Reuse

Renovation, Refurbishing, and Creation

Property development has been at the core of Commonwealth Hotels’ DNA since the start. While we excel at the redevelopment of existing properties, many of our hotels have been built from the ground up. Our skill set in identifying customers (as well as developing the marketing plans that will attract and retain them) is unparalleled within the hospitality industry. Of course, accomplishing these goals within the parameters of a budget and financial plan is essential to developing and maintaining a successful business. Commonwealth Hotels has a proven track record in this arena.

We believe our real success comes from a cross-disciplinary approach. All areas within the company receive the appropriate attention. As the hospitality industry has become more complex, technical services are increasingly a part of any construction or renovation project. As we’ve grown, we’ve found that the majority of owners require technical expertise to plan and specify aspects such as computer and telephone systems, kitchens, and laundries. Our in-house experts can fulfill these requirements without the need for costly consultants. When consultants do come into play, our expertise serves to keep this cost in check.

When a project is conceptualized and a business plan created, we involve other in-house specialists (including our purchasing and financial departments) to complete the project to everyone’s satisfaction. Once a project manager is named, our purchasing department works with the designers and project manager to create an incredible design — one that’s sustainable, durable, and cost effective in equal measure.

Commonwealth Hotels has developed an approach that works — period. We have effectively utilized this process countless times to create attractive, guest-friendly, market-driven properties that drive strong financial results for our partners.
